This is a gift for
 , I think I've done him some pretty dodgy looking giftarts in the past but hopefully this makes up for it. It's his character Chloe ([link]) which he designed for the Design-a-Mutant contest I had last year.. or the year before...Yeah, I know, this is hardly the usual sort of Carmen D subject material but I've been practising my anatomy drawing and the character of Chloe demands as much. ----------------------------------- So firstly, a few credits:  's fabulous tutorial [link] on colouring lines using layer masks; if you used scanned lineart for your pictures and want coloured lines without losing line quality, check out this tut.Secondly to  who provided helpful insight and a second opinion during the pencil and colouring stages, thanks bud.Thirdly, the bakground effects were created using mist and fog brushes by  --- ------------------------------- Anyway guys, sorry for the totally inactivity of late. Life has been.... well, it's been life. Thanks to everyone for your support and RE, I really hope you find this to your liking. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.  reports, 1d 23h agoThis newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. |
