My half of an art trade with , he asked me to draw a scene from the awesome story he wrote about his characters called A Child's Story : [link] and it was a really interesting trade, there were so many scenes I could have done.
In return he had to draw a scene from my comic, [link] *does a dance of happiness*
I spent heaps of time on this, mainly because 's such a nice, supportive person and I really like his characters, they're great fun to draw. I hope you like it, Kuzzy!
Anyways, I used a few textures and a textured brush in this one, something I don't usually do, I just thought it would make the picture more effective, I'd be interested to know what you all think of the overall effect.
I'm pretty happy with how this picture turned out except for one thing. The way Kuzzy (The little cub in the background) turned out. After I scanned it in I saw had weird I'd made him look so I did a bit of mucking around with my tablet and this was the best I could do to make him look at least a little lion-esque.
Also, check out the little lion moneybox on the bookshelf, ain't it cute? I want one. Immadetatly. (Yes, I can spel.)
And what's with the wilting plants? I sketched them from my own pot plant (Yes, the christmas present from Dad XD) It always has too little water or too much, that plant will never be happy.
Well, the computer's started that SUPER annoying 'overtype' thing again so I guess I'd better wrap this up.
